Argyll and Bute Vacation Rentals

Fabulous location for winter retreat in cosy and beautiful cabin. Easy to train in and out (just 2 mins walk from station). Fabulous food and service from Ben Cruachan Inn and just enough kitchen facilities in the cabin to rustle up a two pot feast meal after long hiking days. Good access to walk into at least two decent hill walks (both routes include about 1km along pavement on A85). If using public transport to get in/out and want to cook own food rather than using the Inn for all meals, carry in all the food you need for the trip, Loch Awe Stores good for milk but not much else. Generally the cabin had everything we needed and we felt it was finished to an excellent standard but due a visit from electrician, some usb charging ports didn't work and the two main hanging lights didn't work making it quite dark.

Absolutely loved our time away in this amazing home. It's so peaceful and relaxing! We had to leave suddenly the night before we were to leave, but it was so good to be in a favourite destination again. I hope we left the place as tidy as we could. Thank you again for letting us stay in a favourite place!

A well appointed cottage, with beautiful views and in a magnificent area. The only downsides were: Poor secondary lighting in living room - another couple of table lamps would make a huge difference. Internet signal is very erratic. However we would happily return !

We stayed for 5 nights as a family of three with a toddler. The appartement is spacious with a really stunning view and mostly clean. SomeOf the windows are not quite airtight. The interior of the living/eating area is functional though not quite cozy. There is a nice sitting area and Netflix &Co can be used on the TV. The kitchen is also large, but it was missing bowls and a microwave. There is an oven which we couldn’t get working. The bathroom is small but okay. Important to note is that there is no includes parking space. You can park close by/right in front for about 2£\2h (9am-6pm). We enjoyed our stay and loved looking out the windows ️

The home was very well equipped with even items like slow cooker and blender. They have sky for you to watch, along with surround sound and a large tv. The scenery was stunning. Hot tub was secluded. There’s a walk down to the on site river. Over all very pleased with this property.

Very nice apartment. It is spacious, modern and beautifully furnished and very extensively equipped. We were particularly impressed by the generously equipped and spacious kitchen, the central “Amazon Echo”, the huge TV with numerous included streaming services and of course the woodburning stove to make yourself comfortable after the local weather caprices.:) The location is excellent, just a few meters away from 3 main routes. This makes it ideal for day trips in all directions. Despite the proximity to the roads, the location is totally quiet. Loch Lomond is only a few minutes walk away and offers great panoramic views. The recently opened restaurant and bar “Kirk O' The Lochs” next to the Tarbet Village Store is definitely worth a visit. We stayed here in April 25 with 4 adults and felt very comfortable.

A great house in a lovely location. We wanted for nothing, kitchen, bedrooms all well appointed. We know the area well so had planned our week ahead and fortunately the weather played ball, easily the best week of weather we've had on Bute. If I had any concern it would be the unevenness of the path, with stairs, coming up from the shore side of the house, but after a few reminders the children used the perfectly fine path on the other side, or even better the large lawn.

The cottage was lovely, clean, cosy, had everything you need and in an amazing location. The hosts John and Alice were lovely too. We will definitely be back next year.
