Normally open one or two weekends, including Friday, in November or December, this is one of the best holiday shopping events in Alberta. Just about an hour's drive east from Banff is the Cochrane Christmas Market. Located at the stunning Cochrane RancheHouse in the western outskirts of Calgary, it takes over from the regular private events. Canmore is a little closer than Cochrane, just about 20 minutes southeast of Banff.
