Fun and frolic at the winter carnival

Visit the Corner Brook Winter Carnival, started in 1972, to have fun and mouthwatering delicacies. In 1971, the Ski Club of Corner Brook loaned $2,500.00 to the carnival committee to organize this yearly event where there are activities for all age groups. Every year, this fun-filled carnival takes place for ten days in the last half of February.

Witness the lavish opening ceremony initiated by flag raising, followed by a torch lighting near the City Hall. See the 184 Curling Sea Cadets marching in unison from the City Hall to Margaret Bowater Park. Don't miss the spectacular fireworks at the end of this ceremony.
