One of the most unique experiences is St Patrick's Day in March when Emerald Isle's inhabitants celebrate their links with the original emerald isle, Ireland, with a Mr and Mrs Leprechaun Contest, arts and crafts vendors, clowns, and amusement rides. Naturally, there's also a beer garden where a range of brews are on tap. Day4Kids in September is a free event for little ones when they can jump onto inflatable jungle gyms, pitch some shots and also exchange books. There's also hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy.

Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier
