This impressive island castle is home to five museums and four period gardens,with panoramic views across the sea. Daily tours guide you through the museums, which focus on the history of the castle and of the militia of the island.

Sausmarez Manor

This beautiful manor house, parts of which date back to the beginning of the 13th Century, is now a popular wedding venue. The house has been well-preserved to demonstrate its long and changing history. The gardens are equally as inviting and for a real thrill you could also try a ghost tour,

Fermain Bay

This pebbly bay can be accessed by a pleasant walk from St Peter Port along the cliff path and once there you can enjoy the crystal clear waters of this beach haven. Fermain Beach Cafe is the perfect stop-off point.

Shell Beach

This golden sandy beach has been named as one of the 20 best in Britain. Between April and September there is a cafe selling food, ice cream, toys and postcards, making it a particuarly family-friendly beach.
