Explore the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, a 22 mile bike path that winds through almost all of Los Angeles's western shoreline, offering lovely ocean views.

For a shorter option, follow Veterans Parkway, a verdant 3.5 mile trail that takes you through Hermosa Valley. The leafy pathway is tranquil and an ideal shaded retreat on hot days.

Built in the 1920s, Manhattan Beach Pier is almost 1,000 feet long, offering plenty of room from which to watch the surfers. It also offers views of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Santa Monica Mountain range.
