Art in the Park usually runs over a three-day weekend towards the end of July. The event started in the 1970s and brings scores of artists from all over Ontario to showcase their crafts and artwork. Held at the Parry Sound Market Square, you'll find anything from clothing and metal sculptures, to pottery and even handmade soaps and lotions on sale here.

Massasauga Park is situated just south of Parry Sound. The park accommodates campers and day visitors from April through October. Local Festivals

The annual Festival of the Sound takes place between late July and early August. This classical music event includes performances at the Charles W. Stockey Centre, and even aboard local cruise vessels. Over the three week period, you can opt for any of over 50 events. In addition to great concerts by musicians from all over the world, the festival also puts on children's classes, workshops, and family performances.

The annual Dragon Boat Race takes place around mid-June each year at Waubuno Beach. Apart from watching the races, your family can enjoy the fun activities that are part of this event. Usually, there's a silent auction, great food, a beer garden, and children's games. The Rotary Club uses the popular annual festival to help with their fundraising efforts.
