The Musical Instrument Museum is the world's largest musical history museum and houses over 13,500 different instruments. The McDowell Sonoran Preserve is the largest urban preserve in the country at 30,000 acres, offering over 300km of multi-use trails. Head out for a hike on the challenging Windgate Pass Trail or enjoy the ADA-accessible Bajada Nature Trail. The Gateway Head Trail is a popular short hike that provides incredible views of the desert scenery.

Arizona Taco Festival and Scottsdale Culinary Festival

The Arizona Taco Festival attracts Mexican food lovers from across the country each August. Taste Tacos from 60 different restaurants, listen to live music, watch the chilli eating competition, visit the Tequila expo that features over 100 different tequilas, and enjoy the lucha libre wrestling competition.

Scottsdale's Culinary Festival takes place over a weekend in April. The festival features a tasting tour of the culinary highlights of 35 different restaurants, live musical entertainment, a kids zone, and a beer garden offering 400 beers.
