Walk along the Seattle waterfront to take in salty ocean breezes and see incredible views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. A great day trip option out of Seattle is Olympic National Park. There's plenty of family-suitable day hikes through forests, mountain meadows, and coastline. February is a musical month, with the Seattle Chamber Music Festival and the Wintergrass festival. The world comes to Seattle with March's French Fest and Irish Festival and late summer/early autumn's BrasilFest, Arab Festival, CroatiaFest, and Diwali: Lights of India.

Summer's Seafair Festival is all about torchlight parades, block parties, hydroplane races, and fun triathlons. Also worth mentioning is the Bumbershoot music and arts festival, which attracts over 2,500 artists and performers each September.
